Above all, we are people who have been changed by faith in Jesus. We believe the eyewitness accounts of Jesus' life, death and coming back to life that were recorded in the historical documents that became the Bible. We believe that all Jesus' claims about being God and dying to make us right with God were proven true when he came back from the dead. We have experienced the health, hope, life, and purpose that Jesus promised when we believe and follow him. No matter where you are in your life today, you can know the life transforming love and hope of Jesus. Join us on the journey!
Our church exists to receive, grow, and share the life of Jesus.
We receive life, salvation, hope and encouragement when we gather together to worship God on Sunday mornings. If you would like to visit, you can find out more here.
We grow in faith, knowledge and love for each other in Growth Groups. If you have started attending Hope Community Church and would like to join a Growth Group, you can find out more here
Faith is dead unless it is live out in every day life. Every day we see people turn away from faith because they don't walk out their faith, or see many others living it out every day. We share our love for God and for others by serving the church, our neighborhood and the world. If you are part of a Growth Group, and would like to put your faith into action, find out how here
Our Core Values:
Pursuing Intimacy with God:
Developing a vibrant intimate relationship with God is our goal - learning to know His love and hear His voice by encouraging time with God and His people.
In our times together we encounter God, through singing and reflection, teaching Scripture, sharing our life experiences, praying for one another and using our spiritual gifts to encourage, build up, and comfort one another. Authentic worship is expressed most fully through a life totally yielded to God.
Loving relationships are essential in building God’s kingdom and should permeate every aspect of life. Growth is encouraged by sharing truth with mutual authenticity and transparency while extending grace and forgiveness.
Becoming Christ-like is our goal for each individual. We experience healing, wholeness and growth through a surrendered life and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Life-change happens best in community as we study God’s Word and encourage one another to apply its principles in our daily walk.
Every Member Is a Minister:
Everyone is shaped by God to make meaningful contribution in the Kingdom of God. Therefore mentoring, equipping and gift activation are essential. Opportunities for ministry are abundant and every believer is expected to serve God and the local church in some way.
Being Christ in Our Local Community:
We are the hands, feet and mouth of Christ demonstrated through service and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. We expect our church and its members to reflect Jesus Christ in our local communities and beyond.
Our Core Beliefs:
There is only one God, Creator and Lord of everything, infinitely perfect, all powerful, all knowing and eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (The Trinity).
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus entered the human race through a virgin birth. He lived a sinless human life and offered Himself by dying on a cross as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people. He rose from the dead to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He returned to Heaven's glory and will come again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
The Holy Spirit is the Comforter, Counselor and Helper who convicts of sin, reveals God's truth and indwells believers empowering them for godly life and service. The Spirit uniquely endows each believer with spiritual gifts for the common good of the church.
The Bible is God's word written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the source of truth and the final authority for Christian faith and victorious living.
All people sin (disobey God) through choices they make resulting in eternal separation from God. Our only hope of being reconciled with God is through repentance of our sins, faith in the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and confession of Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
The baptism of believers with water is a pledge of their commitment to God. It publicly identifies them with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. It is a sign of their cleansing and freedom from sin, and their promise to live life in the way of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.
